86 wiring

i need to know what wires i need to hook up i have a 89 mustang i am put in a 86 5.0 out of a mustang gt and need to know what wires to hook up so it will run?

Is the 89 a original 5.0 car, or already has the correct wiring harness? Shouldn't be nothing different between motors.

So you need to change the wiring harness still then correct? A 2.3 wiring harness, will not work with a 5.0.

i have the 5.0 engine harness in the car with the engine just need to know about hooking it up to the dash harness?

well the harness that comes out of the firewall on the driverside has all the conections for the lights wiper motor and the charging system u need the 5.0 light harness the 2.3 light harness is difrent cause of the placement of the wires for the altanator... if ur going carb its easy to get it running... depends on dizzy u use if u use a msd its just plug and play!
