So, Ive been talking to a guy at work that has a 96 saleen with a 150 shot of go-go juice on it, and the idea of maybe a 50-75 shot for my lil pony doesnt seem so bad. Ive never ran or rode in anything with nitrous but, id like to try. You all seem like experienced modifiers, what are the pros and cons of a wet carburator set up for a small shot of goodness? I think it would be a good time...but thats just me.

take it from me, a 50 or 75 shot is just gonna piss you off. go ahead and start with a 125 shot. I've run a 125 wet shot on a 180,000 mile motor with no problems. just make sure you have a good fuel, good fuel pump, timing is set right and go a step colder in plugs to start with.

Wet is always better.;) All depends on how much you want to spend on the system. IMO, I would throw at least a 150 shot on.:yes1:

I did the same...I had an 89 that i put a dry 75 shot on and you couldn't even tell it was hitting. i put a wet 125 on my over 200k mile coupe and it was NICE!!!!!

Stay with the wet on a carb setup. It's easier to get the fuel right. You can probably run a 125 flywheel shot on 93 octane and almost no timing removed, maybe two degrees. Use non platinum plug 1 heat range colder than stock. Good luck.

:yes1: I use to have a 175 shot plate when my coupe had a carbed 306 back in the day. Went 112-113 on motor..... 128 on gas. :thumbsup2:

Course I got tired of filling bottles, watching bottle pressure, micro switches crapping out,etc,etc..

thanks for the advise, i will look further into a big boy shot instead. I didnt know what the results of a smaller shot would be, till now. Thanks fellers

Upgrade your full system.. save your money and put a turbo or supercharger on the car. I drive about 20 miles to get my bottle filled and it doesn't last that long.. If you decide to go with nitrous, then go wet.
I have the cheaper Sniper kit from NOS it does fine, but your limited on shot.
