If it's in decent shape thats a good deal. Make sure he's not just trying to sell you the 3.08 gears for that kind of money...

i wouldn't tap it but i would buy it 3.08's or not.

Even if it is Junk, you can proibably sell it for scrap and almost get your money back!

sounds to me like he's selling used 3.08 gears for 25 bucks.
