My mother's cancer update

Well as some of you may remember I posted a prayer thread for my mother a while back after we found out she has breast cancer. Well, my mother just finished her last chemo treatment the other week. Its looking better and we have faith and high spirits about it, and so do the doctors.

Well, I just found out that my mother is about to start Radiation treatments in the week or so. My new prayer request is to still please keep my mother in your prayers to get well but with the new battle ahead.

I found out that the radiation treatment is going to last for a total of 6 or 7 weeks. It is going to total roughly $200 a week each week for the 6 or 7 week period. My father is the only one working, so he is worried about the weekly medical bill since he is the only one working.

I told my father that I will give them as much as I can weekly to try and help with the weekly radiation bill, they have also put in for a financial aid for this as well.

I ask for all of your prayers for my mother, and my father that the she will be healed and the lord will provide.

Done the cancer thing with my dad and my granddad. Your family is gonna live through some very tough things... and they'll have to see some very rough things happen to her in the weeks and months to come. Be prepared for it, try to stay strong for everyone, and I send my best to you and yours.

i will be keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers....i had a lady that worked for me who went thru cancer and all the treatments that come with it a few years ago, she got help from the cancer society or something because of the income and cost of the treatments... maybe they can help your parents as well..... please keep us posted

I think the cancer society is where they put in for the financial aid. My mother doesnt like to talk about it to much, I usually get the information from my dad.

I know what you're feeling about now. My dad and father-in-law both had cancer. It's a tough road as was said earlier. You'll get through it with alot of faith and friends. Hope things go well. :pray:

We do not know 100% for sure yet, but they may indeed work with my parents financially. I spoke with my father last night and he updated me on the situation.

It's never fun financially. I know in my father's situation insurance and family had spent over 1 mil in medical bills, medicine and everything else involved. YUCK! It's nice they will work with the financial situation, though!

It's never a fun process, but I know you and your family and your mother especially will overcome it!
