View Full Version : what to plug egr cross ove rin the back of e7 heads?
i wanna pull off the egr cross over tube while the trans it out. what thread size stuff do i need to make this happen? i remember seeing people selling them before, but cant find em now.

Andy, Power Parts here in Mauldin sells the TrickFlow plugs also. If you want, I'll call and get youa price tomorrow.

The hole is threaded. I use a 5/8 bolt 1" long to plug them. You may have to clean the hole out with a pick.

sometimes the hole will be solid with carbon... if thats the case, and your done throwing wrenches, and swearing, then you could always cut the egr tube , and weld the holes shut..

Spark Plugs seems to be the easiest thing But I Take the tube off cut the ends and then flip them upside down. Bolt them back down...... They cover the holes then.....

2 5/8-10 set screws or flip the blocks over... im trying to do the set screws right now on mine but its got **** built up in the hole

they are 20 bucks a piece at ford! i got ripped. I like those inserts so you can bolt stuff to them if you need....

ya the one of mine was all carboned up so I cut the tube and just flipped the blocks.

Ebay you can get 4 of them for 10 bucks that are threaded on the inside.:thumbsup1:
