Oil ring gaps

well here is the problem. i read from a site that the gap had to be no matter what engine size: .016. mine is WAY over .025 i was wondering if thats okay? its a speed pro ring kit that came from dss racing. my gap checker has a max of .025 and it had room for way more.

Double check with Mark at Stabkle or Rick at Amazon, but according to my Haynes Manual,
Compression Rings should be....... 0.010 to 0.020
Oil Ring should be...................... 0.015 to 0.055

okay thanks bones. my compression rings are good. my oil rings just had a huge gap. i will try to get a full measurement later
