i know it can be done but not sure how hard it is. there is a guy with a 5.4 out of a navigator with an 88mm in an sn95 car. not sure about a 5 speed to put behind it though.

i think it would be sick.. grandpa had a 04 4door f-150 thing was nasty.... pulled hard... even with a 24 ft enclosed trailer behind it.

There is a guy over on foureyedpride.com that put one in a '79-'80 mustang. It has a grey primer job, and black steelie wheels-looks f'n sick, and runs like stink too.

Pretty sure Nate's car was still 5 speed, Not sure how hard it was for him to wire everything up, but he was also running a laptop with FAST setup

The 351R came with a Pushrod motor that is 5.8.. I think he is wanting to swap a 5.4 modular bottom end...

just thinking of what i can do want it to be different not just your everyday 4.6 with cams and maybe a supercharger everyones doing that.... were can you get the wiring for the efi 351w??? may would do that cheaper to build too... than a dang mod motor.. and already have a tranny at a buddys for a 5.0 or 351

x2 on the 351 wiring i thought they were identical or very similar to the 302 harness.

Well, if you want to go "abnormal" why not a 351 injected this way.

both the 5.4 2v and 4v will fit in the sn95. With the 4v you can not remove the valve covers in the car unless you modify the pass side strut tower. And for the 351 the 302 wiring will work on it. The lightning motor in a sn95 is a pain. As in cost a bunch unless you want the blower sticking way up in the air. I built one back in 03. I had to get a aje drop k member with a dropped racked and build a custom inlet for the blower. The only thing sticking out of the hood was the blower pulley.

If you want irregularity do what I'm doing you cant get to 400HP as easily but once you get there you still have the same reliability and better gas mileage plus better handling.

It's actually a very easy swap. I have heard stories of people doing this in their driveway in a very short period of time.
There are problems like the intake because the engine will not make power over like 3500 rpm. You can buy an intake to adjust this though. I believe you are going to need a new k member and your harness should work just fine. As for the tranny just about any will do.
Look this up over on horsepowerjunkies.com and you can find a couple members that have done it.

No new kmember or harness will be needed. He has a 96 gt.

I know the L 5.4 is beast in an SN95. they had one at MW that had a huge cowl hood AND half the cowl cut out for the top of the S/C and intake elbow. it was beast.
other than knowing that all options will fit I don't know whats involved really.
