I've got an '89 notch that i'm building and i bought a '90 parts car. Well i want to swap the steering wheels but the '90 has the airbag. How do dismount the steering wheel with the airbag?

I don't know it the airbag wheel will fit on the non-bag column or not. But to get the bag out, let it sit for 15 minutes with the battery disconnected, remove 4, 8mm nuts(IIRC) and the bag comes out, unplug it and sit it with the stud facing down ALWAYS! Then you will need to remove the 15mm bolt in the center and using a steering wheel puller, pull it off.

Cool...i'm gonna have to try that this weekend. I don't really car to use the airbag but i just like those steering wheels better than the 89s...i'm just partial i guess...

The airbag setup will fit but you have to change alot of stuff on the column also. I know you need to do the horn setup and I think you need to do the aluminum peice that holds the key switch in. this is all based on if its like my 88 of course.

Well then i think we've got another thing to do before the motor goes in lol...might as well do it when we change the cluster and all that i guess lol. Good deal...
