It's worse than when you guys came up for the pony run. I pass 8 gas stations on the way to work and only 1 of them had gas this morning. People were lined up for half a mile. When stations get gas cops show up because fights start breaking out.

Yea and I think its BS that Hurricane wasnt that bad, to keep fuel like this. DId anyone notice that oil is going back up this is what I said would happen they would use this to keep prices up until oil could go back up and its working **** it I am going to start making moon shine and run the cars off that  :bat:

Its really bad here in Swannanoa and Black mtn.The Enmark here only had a half load yesterday and it was gone in a couple of hours.I had to wait in line for 45 mins. and only got a 3/4 of a tank in my Ranger.I guess the Stang is gonna stay parked for a while. We had a few people that didn't show up for work last night because they had no gas.

Only one station had gas last night in franklin. You can imagine how long the line was. I paid for full service just so I didn't have to wait as long!

FULL SERVICE, What is that??? I haven't seen a full service station in years!!!! But yea it looks like there is no relief in site. Johnny sent me a pic from a BP station up in Landrum, SC which is near the SC/NC line. Lines at every pump, and all the tags were NC plates.

Where did you see that information (please provide a link to that info)? Because that is totally wrong information.:yes1: It doesn't have anything to do with the AIG bailout.:nonono3: Oil prices were under $100 a barrel after the AIG bailout and going lower.
It all has started since the President brought the 700 Billion dollar bailout (which has nothing to do with AIG) plan to Congress, and the Congress has not acted on the bill. So your investors are putting their money where it's safe.:yes1:
When Bush first announced the 700 billion bailout, the stock market rebounded excellent. But once this do nothing Congress started adding all their pork, and putting off passing the bill. The stock market has been on the down fall ever since, and it is only going to get worse.:yes1:

I going to run out after the kids are in bed I will check prices. I wonder why there is a shortage there and not here? The last time they went up it happened here at the same time it happened out in western areas. I will post prices when I get back.

Yeah we had one station late last night for 3.75 and had like 15 cars waiting for each pump. was on empty and had to go to Dillard GA and 4th station was open with gas. my bf was told today that since the shortage on gas, his job just shut down for a week or 2. he works on cop cars, ambulances, etc. public safety vehicles and biz is so slow. one station shut down to save for cops and etc.

Yes they went up for one day, but feel back down until Monday when it went back to $120.92 a barrel. At least it closed down a little on Tuesday. But I guess we will have to see what Wednesday brings.

When the headline tried to connect AIG and gas/oil prices, it's a bunch of bunk...anything w/soever in the news is associated with the market goin' up, then down. An event will happen, then if the market is UP, they say it's due to such and such happening. The same thing can happen and the mrkts go DOWN, yet the headline will say it was due to the same thing.
It's not we report and you decide, it's we've decided, and hey...now we're gonna report on it AFTER the fact after we've drawn our own conclusion. Spin baby spin!
Hanley (and others in the area)...the station just off Bush River @ I-20 across from Cracker Barrel, had ALL the grades "bagged" as you say for 2+days. Not till last evening about 7:40 when I had occassion to drive by the station again did they have any gas, and only the lowest grade @ that.

Here in Asheville yesterday they had a big city council meeting with state reps from raleigh and here, discussed on how to fix this problem. :yes1:(its been 2 weeks with little or no gas, since the Pony run):thumbsdown1:
The had talked and arrange(supposedly):bat: with the big oil companies to send some tankers this way from other distribution point besides just Spartanburg (that is where we usually get our gas from.) So today there seems to be more tankers coming in with more stations open with shorter lines, but its still bad here and the surrounding areas.:thumbsup1:
i was planning on going to the big show in Maggie Valley this Saturday, but I think I will just stay at home, drink a little:beer:(my son brought home a case last nite) play some 360 on line with the boys and just chill.:D
How about the rest of ya, whats your plans?:brightidea:
