Looking for a good paint and body guy w/in 50 miles or so from Columbia. I will strip all teh trim, lights, weatherstripping from the car. will need rear qrt panel cut out and new one welded with some body work in that area. Other than that just some panel alignment, nothing major, that's it.

Dang no one on here does any paint and body? I am willing to work and strip all the trip, lights, ect down to the weatherstripping myself. I honestly would love to do it myself but I don't knwo how and I want it to look good.

Its going to be kinda hard to find many people that are willing to take on cutting out a 1/4 panel and spot weld a new one in, in their back yard. Most guys that have that kind of equipment have a garage especially for that, to most guys is a major over task. I do this kind of work and have for years but I even hate cuttign in new body panels, can be a pain sometimes. Just thought I would try to help with a little insight, I live a long ways from Columbia or I would at least come look at it for ya.

I appreciate the reply but I figured it would be easier and cheaper to cut and weld than try and beat that panel back into shape. He has like half an inch of bondo plus the underside is all crushed. I really wish I could do it myself. The metal behind the panel needs massaging too.
See for yourself:

Just wish I wouldn't have sold my LX kit when I went to GT fx so she would still be one color.

Well I have found it takes time, and time and money. These days I have more time than money. That's why I wish I knew some friends or peeps that could help. I love turnign a wrench and seeing teh end result I just don't have all teh experience and/or tools to do some of it. I guess I could if I wanted to leave it in pieces for weeks but since it is my DD.....can't do it.
