Well guys my spirits have come up a LITTLE bit.
So i decided to get some things out of the way that ive been wanting to do for a while now. I got all the A/C stuff off the car. And ive started to relocate and hide all my wires. I havent done any cleaning yet, so forgive the dirtyness of everything. Feel free to make suggestions with the wire hiding, im kinda playing it by ear and just going with that i feel....
(yes i know about almoststock's wire hiding write up, but all of his pics are in the wrong spot that i need them to be. lol

depends.... on my blue car i put everything behind the dash... had to extend a lot of it....on the orange car im building, i hid it all in the wheel well, and didnt extend anything...
wires in the orange car are more visible in places... the only wires you see on the blue car are fuel injector/distributor harness..

Well, update time. After puttin the AFPR on, the moter blew (short version) So the car has been basically sitting until i can find parts. Well tonight i picked up the short block. Got it from a dude in GA. Needs some paint and a lil cleaning up. But for what i payed for it, that aint no big deal. Hopefully about another 2 weeks and she will be running again. Maybe even 3. Short block came with oil pan, brand new gasket. Timing cover, dog bones. Basically everything you see in the pics.

WOW, big jump....one post your wiring then BAM!...the motor blew?!?!?!
WTH HAPPENED!?!?!?
lol, sorry. I reckon i forgot to update this thread when it blew. But i think i put something in the bad day section.
Idk wtf happened. I changed FPR's started the car to adjust the pressure, would stay runnin, so i tightned the adjuster screw to bump the FP up a lil bit (keep in mind im doing this by my self) so i start the car again, reved it up just a lil to keep it to say runnin (2 grand MAX) and i hear a noise, a loud pop, and water starts pouring onto the ground....
So im like ****.... So it might be a freeze plug. So i get under the car and look and i see 2 holes in my oil pan. And a chunk of the block in between the starter and the oil pan.... So i reckon i slung a rod, or a main cap...
I think it went wayyy lean on me.. But im not 100% on that
It cracked from the freeze plug over... Huge hole
http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll196/3black0sheep6/my%20car/1031091613.jpg
I will find out in a week or so what happened when i tear down the old moter. I wish i would have already done it. But i have been to busy to do anything.... :sad1:

I havent figured out what imma do with the harness that the pass head light is on, and the alt harness. But im sure ill think of something. Dont judge it yet, it has come a long way since i started with this, and im not anywhere near being done. But here are the updated pics.

Well x-mas has come to me early this year, in the form of parts. I have a pile of parts waiting to go on this car, from brandnew headlights to a intake. Everything you are about to see i picked up today. (Needless to say im tired of spending money at this point). Everything of course will be cleaned up and painted to match the look i want. This thing is finally comming along. Besides, cam, timing chain, and gaskets i can start to assemble it. So when those come in, then the fun starts. Enjoy

OK, well obviously things are going slower than planned. I havent really had time to work on my motor. But i finally got the heads assembled today. The heads should go on sometime next week depending on if anything comes up or not. I set my installed height at 1.690" which gives me a seat pressure of about 120-121 with my springs. And still have about 0.040 after the max lift on my cam, so plenty of room there before coil bind. And as you can see, i ditched the stock rotators and just went with the stock style 2 piece retainer. I thought about gettin the retainers off a 300 ford or something like that, but i already ordered my new springs so it was to late. . .

Well i finally got time to finish up the long block. Gonna bring it home this weekend and start putting all the other goodies on it. The viedo is of my motor on our "SIM tester" Basically we shoot it with oil and block off all the nessacary holes and spin it. And do a series of test on it, Oil pressure at 25% OP at 100% make sure the oil is comming out of the places it needs to be, rockers oiling, lifters rotating (flat tappet of course), we also check the compression in all the cylinders. Its a quality control thing, and its a good thing we do it. you would be suprised at some of the stuff i discover while spining these motors. Most of the time its just a bad lifter or something. But anywho, enjoy. (The tester is only turning at about 30% power)

looking good croft! droped my engine off today to a guy on here who is doing my engine build.
new job still going well?
you're running a bigger oil pan than stock correct? extended time at high rpms will empty a stock pan with a HV pump.

Well i went into work today and got some more stuff done. Got the earl pan, timing cover and balancer on. Also changed the rear main seal. and of course i pressed in a new front seal. Gonna bring it home sometime this week and start putting everything else that i can on it so i dont have to do it when its in the car. When i get a clutch imma drop the motor and tranny in.

I got most of the stuff on. Gonna plug up the injector harness before it goes in. And a few more lil odds and ends, but i couldnt take it any longer, i had to see how the VC's were gonna look with that intake. I personally think its looks great. Gonna try and drop it in this week!!!!!!

Thanks man, i spent alot of time painting and trying to figure out how i want things. And i still havent decided on the water pump, alt, or alt bracket yet. So we shall see. And i think it will do pretty good. I spent alot of time debating on a cam, and spent some time on my valvetrain which tends to be the place where people skip on, So imma tune it my self for now until the clutch gets broken in then it will hit the dyno. But im hoping for some good numbers. It will suprise alot of people

Ok, well i have been working on this thing basically non stop all weekend, and im still not done. its very over whelming at all the stuff that needs to be done still. I sat down tonight and made a check list of everything. Deff gonna need a intake spacer, not to thrilled about that one. But its whatever. So the intake is just sittin up there. Im gonna go back when im done and clean all the dust up, so pay no attention to that. But i think she is looking good. Im really happy how my bracket came out.

Yea, just waiting on a couple more parts. I some how lost my O2 sensor harness, no clue how that happened. So i had to buy another one from justin. And somebody neglecticed to tell me that i need a spacer for my balancer and my pully. So when i bolted the crank pully on i was like ummm...... yea, so thats in the mail as we speak. So when i get those things, and a intake spacer. Ill be good to go and ready to fire it up. Well i gatta button up a couple more odds and ends

Ok, sorry i havent been on here to update all of yall, but the computer crashed and I didnt wanna say all this on my BB. Soo, here is the lastest news. Yes the car is running. But, there are some bugs that need to be worked out of it. The belt was rubbing each other in one place so i had to get a new alt bracket, well the bracket i ordered was the wrong one. so instead of ordering one, seeing if it works, ship it back, wait for another one, try that one etc.... I am just gonna say screw it and buy the PS relocation bracket like everybody else. not to happy about it, but im tired of waiting on parts. So that new bracket will be here tom. So when i get that taken care of, i can actually let the car run for a lil bit and do some tuning on it, and get some bugs worked out. I do need to get some 02 sensors for some reason i have crown vic 02 senors in mine so obviously my harness wont work. And if any body has any that they wanna donate to the cause that would be great! I tried to get a vid of my phone to show yall of the car idleing but for some reason it wont upload to my com. sooo im just gonna have to take one with my camera tom, so for now yall will just have to settle for a pic. Still got some finishing up to do, but this is basically the final product. I think the wire tuck went really well. Not as clean as i want it to be, but hey its a start.

Those plug wires kill it i know, they are wayyyyy to long, so imma just but a cut to fit set and do it that way. I should have done that before i put the motor in.
