Well, yesterday made the drive back up to NC. The coupe made it without any problems.:thumbsup1: We were traveling in a convoy, had some friends taking a boat back to the SC coast.

Here is the shocker to me, I set the cruise on at 65 mph and got 25 MPG in the coupe.:patriot: Not bad gas mileage for a V8.:thumbsup1: Who ever said a mustang can't get good gas mileage.:lol1::lol1:

I used to get 20 plus all the time out of my 89 coupe. Now the 91 with the 347 and 4:56 gears passes about three gas stations before it needs to stop.

Nice gas mileage! Makes me want a daily driver coupe even more - haha!

I can relate to your excitement though, seems there's always something stupid that can and does go wrong when you start modifying your car a bunch. I drive it so little for various reasons, and I seem to break down half the time because of it :lol1:

Trust me, I'm being easy.:taunt: Didn't we go over this on the old board? On the door sticker there could be three different codes for the axle.

M 2.73
Z 3.08
E 3.27

Check out this info on the door stickers from the SSP site. Remember 3.27's were only offered in AOD cars.

http://www.sspmustang.org/technical/doortags.htm

I remember back in 1988, my friend had a AOD and I had 5 speed, mine had 2.73's his had 3.27's. Always wish Ford would have given the 3.27's as an option on the 5 speeds.:yes1:

3.27's were a option in auto cars....3.27 and 3.55 will get better fuel milage than a 2.73 in the hills....cars is in its power ban and does not lug

Yes you are a Douche bag!

Hey Bones.....Don't feel bad. He drive through SC and you didn't see him. He was home here in Florida for a few months and he didn't make any time for me either! That's cool. I see where this friendship is going:taunt::taunt: That's OK. I guess I'll just have to talk to him via cell phone from the Hurricanes games!

When are you coming back this time? Maybe I'll get my engine?

I have some very good comebacks for the douche comment. But I'll let you slide this time since your mom is in the hospital.:yes1:

I'm not driving hours out of my way to Greenville, it's not on the way to my house in NC. Plus after 10+ hours in the stang, your ready to get out of it.:yes1: I'll see Bones plenty.:thumbsup1:

Hey at least the Canes won today.:happydance:
