I have an 88 4cyl coupe that had a 5.0 swap when I bought it I did some add-on’s and now the car idles good but runs very rich and has no power when you try to drive it. The add-on’s I did are as follows E cam, 1.7 rockers, 24lb injectors, typhoon ported and polished upper and lower, 70mm mass air meter w/24lb tube, bbk cold air, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, 195 fuel pump, timing chain, 3 row radiator, & electric fan, used 93 main harness and computer A9L. Haven’t driven the car in six months my father and I did all the work. Ready to set the car on fire can anyone help me find the problem.
Thanks
Kenny

First off, check codes, then fuel pressure. Check timing and firing order. Maybe cam timing, etc.

What is the fuel pressure set on?

IME, 3 components you listed can be the culprit:
E-Cam.
Fenderwell mount CAI.
Sampling tube type MAF.
As stated, check the fuel psi at idel and WOT under load as well.
Have someone check the MAF transfer functions. More than likely, you're going to find the low and high tables out of range.
To save some headache, get an electronically calibrated MAF, and a filter that offers a straight shot to the MAF electronics, versus a fender mount.

there is the problem. Can't use a 93 harness in a 88 unless you change the dash harness to.

Dude he had to change the dash harness or it would have never run... The starter solenoid, etc all plugs into the dash in those 1-2 connectors depending on years...
