i know its from a bmw site but this guy has some great advice on how to use natural light for automotive photography and he has some VERY nice examples too...

and i personally think that Sunrise is "golden light" or "magic light" and that its just too freaking early to get up for lol... but sunset works ALMOST as well in most occasions.
