Well title says it all. I just got the car back together last week and painted and all now she has a horrable knock in the engine and the tranny is shot to hell. Ive been slowly putting together turbo parts guess its a sign to build a low comp 306 for the boost now and put a good tko behind it. Well anyways Ill be tearing it down tomorrow hopefully the day will be better never a good feeling to have a broken down car.

Im probably gonna start another thread soon after I start getting some of the parts together but just for an update. I called and got prices on a 331 rotating assembly, a dart block, and tko600 looking like Ill have a 10 second street car thats dependable soon. I already have a treadstone hotside and intercooler setup and a blow off valve. Just time for a big upgrade to the car.

I already have a treadstone hotside and intercooler setup and a blow off valve. Just time for a big upgrade to the car.

Well started to tear down the car today and realized the roller rockers on the drivers side are a little loose and one of them is almost completely backed out. So found the problem car wasn't knocking just valves weren't opening I have put lock tite on them and torqued them back down she fired up and runs like a champ. Decided to build a 1st gen rx7 I have with a 351w in it for my drag car and leave the stang to be a nice cruiser. Id hate to have to cut this car up when I have a beat up rx7 with a sbf begging to be turned into a drag car!!

Nothing broke! After I tore it down turns out I had a roller rocker back loose and the valve wasn't opening and the motor was blowing all the compression out the exhaust making a really loud knock type noise. I already put the car back together and its running great!!

lol I want to keep this one the way it is and make it a cruiser really. I have a 83 rx7 that I am gonna build for my track toy.
