Here are a few ideas I have to make MW09 even better than MW08 was.
1)BE A MAJOR SPONSOR OF THE EVENT!!!
2) All our club members need to stay at Holiday Sands South, or at least very close to it. This would make it easy for all of us to hang out together, and cruise to the events together.
3) Have a "club members only" dinner one night while there. Either Friday or Saturday night.
4) Maybe have a club members/foxbody ONLY cruise somewhere one afternoon. Maybe to play Putt-Putt or a Sonic for ice cream.
5) Get some kind of name tags/badges of people will know who we are, and what club with are with. I really like what Bad Mustangs Club had.
6)Have enough members there to take the Club Attendance Award!!!!
That's it for now...I'm sure something else will come to me, and i'll edit my post.
Let me here what ideas ya'll have.
Let make MW09 a year to remember!!!!

Maybe next year make a fox body cruise flyer in pdf format so our members can print and hand out (or put under windshield wipers) to other fox owners once they get to the beach. I think this way we could see some real big numbers on the cruise and promote SEFB at the same time!!

maybe have a map in it of the planned route and any stop points marked to collect everybody or for others to join in ..... also how about lead car center car and tail end have w/t's to keep constant comm .... especially center and last car so the lead group can slow some and keep every one together better

Some members go down for the whole week, other for three or fours days, and some just for the weekend.
I myself hope to be there for the whole week this coming year.:thumbsup1:

My best idea for 09 is not to have my freakin' fan take a dump on me!! All of those ideas sound great bones. Do you know if Holiday Sands has trailer parking?

Sweet let me know if that is where everyone is staying and Ill get my room. Wait they are on the beach right? I didn't ask that last year until I had already got my room at the sheraton. I didn't mind the parking garage was great for detailing a car but my girl friend, well, she didn't speak to me that first night.:taunt:

Bike week is gonna really hurt next year. With noise ordinances and helmet laws, there won't be anyone able to ride. We know how loud Harley's are and the riders don't believe in helmets. I think they're kicking them selves in the a$$. It's stupid

Made a post on the MW forum about it. Already been assured by the staff it shouldn't effect MW.

Doesn't this one basically mean that colonial mall cannot give mustang week participates a permit to park in the lot because we're using it for non-parking activities(judged car show). what is a non-parking activity?

Great to see you guys putting some ideas together for Mustang Week 2009
Here's a few that I have thought about.
Get the entire group together on the track at Myrtle Beach Raceway for a group shot side by side in pairs or possibly three across. I can't shoot from the roof of the grandstand.
Have a Fox Body Cruise In at a Vintage Diner, Drive In, Vintage Gas Station or something period correct from the 70's and 80's.
Draw up a formal plan and schedule, then submit to me for magazine exposure in Mustang 5.0, Mustang and Muscle Car Enhtusiast Magazines in the events area for each. No promises but I can help out and mention this to some of the magazines I work with.
I can handle the walkie talkies for the group. I have 3 that I use for tracking shot photography. I will also have a lead camera car to help coordinate things.
I have participated in many Cruise Ins, Road Trips, Tracking shots and my advice is
Have a good written plan.
Find a good route to cruise.
Drive the course before-hand to make sure traffic and road conditions will not be a problem.
Just some ideas and I would be more than happy to help out. I can approach the magazines or pitch to them but we will need a well executed plan of action.
Let me know what you guys think and how I can help out.
