I have FOREVER been a fan of the 1994-1995 V8 Style fan
The Pros =This style fan turns 3400-3600 CFM
The Cons = Draws ALOT of amps.
@ First,It's not so bad 40 Amps
After the fan has hours on the clock = It's like a fat old lady,The ***** just wants to eat & eat
My fan was drawing 60 -70 Amps.
My charging system could handle the draw,But it is much happier now ( It TOLD me so )
I spent the $$$$,I went with a Flex-A-Lite 185
Turns 3300 CFM
Draws 18 Amps
A truely GREAT design.
I did not agree with the mounting brackets = So i made my own.
The top fabricated bracket = Ancient Chinese Secret The thing looks like it Floats
Here are some pics=

So the 16" BM fan works good then George? Been thinking of putting a Mark VIII fan on, but was looking at these also. Installation looks very nice, with the custom top mounting piece.:yes1:

The Mark VIII fan won't cool your car but a Black Tragic will... how?? The BT fan moves 3300 cfm while the Mark VIII moves 4500-5K...????

A Mark 8 Fan with NOT turn enough CFM to keep my car cool.

I thought the 18" Mark VIII fans pulled around 4,000 CFM. Which is more then the BM.

I have also never tried a Mark 8 fan right out of the ford parts dept.
They have been from a salvage yard.

My buddies have ran a BT fan and they lasted about 13 months, then crapped out, hence the Black Tragic. My Mark VIII fan is great, even with the little thin cylinder walls in my old car and a single core rad. Agian I have never had a Black Magic fan.

I have seen the other BM fans with the relays built in,Die quickly.
I did research on this before my purchase.
2 of my friends have similar set ups,With the same fan with 2 years on the clocks.

I am also not a fan of the ABS shroud shape on a Mark 8 fan.
I need a CLEAN look.
Like i said,I know others with Great results running a Mark 8 fan.
I just wanted to add some info to those in the market for a electric fan.
