Saleen front bumper on 87-93 LX 5.0??

Hi guys,

I just got back from vacation from Pigeon Forge. While I was there I bought a T-shirt, and it has a 5.0 LX mustang with just a Saleen front bumper on the car and no other ground effects.

My LX is in need of a new front bumper, can this truely be done and look good without the rest of the Saleen body kit?

Do any of you have a LX with a saleen front bumper cover? I just wanted to see if any of you had any pics or heard of anyone doing this. It looks real good on the T-shirt, but would like to see it on an actual car.

Well, after a little research, I found a picture of LX with a Saleen front bumper. It actually does look pretty good. The picture was on a cover of one of my Mustang parts catalogs........LOL go figure.

Anyway, now my question is........Is the Saleen front bumper and entire new bumper cover or just a bottom bumper add on? I ran across one website that sells just the saleen front lower bumper that you add with fender screws and 3M tape.

yea i bet that was CJ pony parts right? i know on there catalog they have one...

thats correct the saleen bumper is just a lower air dam that connects to the bottom portion of the lx bumper

How secure is that front lower bumper since it only secures with fenderwell screws and 3m tape?? It just dosent seem like it would want to stay attached like that you know......

Anyone here added that front bumper??

I have the real Saleen Ground Effects on my LX. The real ones will have the screw holes. I have seen some LX with just the front air dam and it looks great. The coupes also look mean too
