any one have a how to onreplacing u joints on a fox? ive never done it figure it cant be to hard. and im being to much of a tight wad to buy a new aluminum drive shaft

short answer is buy a case of ..... and get your buddy to do it for you:lol1:

Just kidding. not hard at all. four torx bolts at rear end and your done. piece of cake,

yea its simple, there are four 12mm 12 point bolts that go to your diff. the best tool to take those out is a 12mm wratcheting wrench.Take those out and slip drive shaft out, watch out for tranny fluid if you dont have the back of the car jacked up in the back cause it will come out when u pull the driveshaft. Then just knock the old u-joints out and put the new ones in like any other ujoint. let me know if you need any more help. numbers 864-506-1135 send a txt or call if ya need to

yea i know how to get the drive shaft out when i worked for rick im sure i took 50 or 60 of them out... ive just never done a u joint. im sure its gunna be a ***** hammering them out... oh well i got nothing better to do sunday

What I do is of course take the lock rings off, I use needle nose pliers to do this. Then I get a socket thats a hair smaller than the caps and hammer away, knocking the ujoint out one side. Sometimes it takes using a couple bad words to get the u-joint worked out of the driveshaft but overall it's very simple. You'll see:thumbsup1:

ok cool... i may just take out drive shaft take it to work and use the big press we have here

yea a press would be the best bet. makes it alot easier
