ok well im thinking about changing my convertor and was wundering if anybody has any input on what kind to buy or where to go get one? is anybody pretty good on here with figuring out what size stall a car needs?

Best way is to go custom, which ever one you choose, let them build the converter around your combo.

A few good companies to deal with Precession Industries, Andre at Edge Racing Converters, Alan at Dirty Dog Performance, and Greg Slack (which is the one mentioned above, that Chuck knows, never have used one, but haven't heard anything bad either).

Greg Slack converters is who chuck, myself, and 1wildcoupe uses for our converters. He does a great job on them, I think a custom AOD converter is $850.00 last time I asked. I have his # if I can find it I will pm it to you cammincoupe.

oh yeah well worth the money.......I picked up over 1/2 a second,-vs- using a shelf converter,in the Boss car

same results here. in the old 93 coupe i had a tci super streetfighter and when i switched to gregs converter that he built for me i picked up over a half second also. i just talked to him on the phone earleir today actually. he is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet in the buisiness oriented world:thumbsup1:

im good thanks though i already have a lentech convertor 3500 stall in it now just wundering if i needed a higher stalling convertor for my set up.

Sorry for hijacking your thread. Why are thinking about changing it? Did you change the cam? As long as you get a good brand torque converter that is made, based on what you have, you will be ok. :yes1:

aint nobody said that the "little" big block at scotts is the one thats definitely going in this car!!!:)......my 454ss truck could use a motor also so this one being put together may go in it....cammin has already heard of the other engine that may go in the fox:thumbsup1:

o god yes there wasnt alot of chevys there but there was 3 L's and about 4 or 5 foxs, a bronco with a 393 in it and well all the rest of the lkn lifer's lol my car was at home though it keeps me out of trouble that way, o and we did have a camarowguy 2301 and zmont come out and join us as well lastnight.
