Ok guys I put in an autometer temp guage. I put the sensor in on the hard coolant line where I believe the temp sensor was. which is what this looks like.

But my original guage seems to be working to. Was this not the sensor to take out. please help. thanks

No, put that sensor back in.:yes1: The temp sensor will go in the lower intake in the front, on the drivers side.

Just a quick reference, it's the gold piece right behind the first red bolt on this intake on the drivers side. Right to the right of the back of the distributor, on the drivers side of the lower intake.

got it now what does the other sensor do. thanks didn't even see that one. lol

got and put the other back in got the new one where it goes thanks

The one in the metal line is the ECT sensor for the PCM to know how hot the engine is.
