Just wanted to give thanks where thanks is due.Last Tuesday Dale got the block from Tony @ Allisons machine shop.Wed. he picked the pistons/rings up and assembled the motor.Thursday dropped it in the car.We hooked the wiring up thursday night and fired it up. Friday I cleaned it up,checked timing and retards noticed a problem. Saturday we work on it ALL day and night.Switching dist, c/t pick ups, wires and come to find out, it was a simple solution.The timing light had took a dump on us. Dale called at midnight saturday to tell me we were running the car ! With that being said, his hard work was not in vain,he took it to the Winners circle @ The Southern Automotive Street Car Shootout! Drive 20 miles and qualify without working on your car.We literally seated the rings on the ride over to the track, which was in town Greensboro to bypass 40 to country roads and she ran 180* the whole way !Thanks for doing a great job D ! And for all u SEFB peeps,im probably one of the reasons why we didnt make it to your event Saturday. I wish we could have made it but we thrashed on it all week to get the trophy yesterday, and we got it ! I got to work on the car some, but got called in Sat and Sun so Dale finished it for me. Sorry we missed it and hopefully we can get together soon ! Kent aka Moneypit .
