Brannon, If you look on Ebay, look for the 1/25 scale AMT ERTL kits. They are set up to build it either hard top or t-top!!

Scott, I can't remember if that kit comes with right tires for the Turbines, BUT I'm sure I have a spare set here that will fit..hehehe

Two things that I haven't found yet in a plastic model kit.......Any type of Coupe/Notchback and No LXs. Seems all the kits are GTs There is also two different SVO kits out there one by MPC and the other is Revell/Monogram

they do make coupes but very rare and hard to find. what is trully sad is that almost all of the models even the more exp diescast ones are almost always incorrect.

Between Nascar, NHRA, Mustang, and other miscellaneous cars, 1/64-1/24, 1/64 haulers and 1/18. I probably have close to 200-300 cars at least, most likely more. Many of the Nascar 1/24 have been autographed.

And a few years back (2002) I sold off a lot of my Earnahrdt Sr & Jr 1/24's. The money from those sells, bought my 89 coupe that was totaled.:yes1:

Bones...At the Fatboy's Cruise-In last Saturday, there was a group of about 8 guys, some of which had their sons there. The rolled in with 2 pick-m-up trucks and opened up the back. Then they proceded to display their collection of models.

Can't recall the name of the group, but they all had on matching Tshirts with their logo on them. It mighta been sumthin' like "American Modelers Association" (?)...either way, there must be a new found interest in the model building. I recall when I was a kid, getting/building a model was "IT"! :) They were well received for birthday and Christmas presents. No such thing as spray paint back then for the cars...you always got the small bottles of paint & such to build 'em.

After the cars got "old", we' blow 'em up with firecrackers, M-80's and Silver Salutes is what we called 'em! I think the glue sniffers got their start back in the '60's when all that was goin' on too! LOL

Nice stuff. Is that a Hertz Shelby on the left in that one pic? One of my old girlfriends had a ton of those Breyers and I had to research them online so we could trade/sell them to buy new stuff for her real horse. It's amazing what some of thoes go for!

Nice collection Bones !

I have a TON of Earnhardt and Rusty Wallace diecast ( over 400 pieces ), and was bigtime into military modeling back in the day. With the kids/job though, I'm lucky to find time to occasionally wrench on the Coupe, spend time on the web, and watch Bama football ! :yes1:

Just a few of the die cast cars I've collected over the years. All of the John Force cars are autographed, and a few of the NASCAR 1:24's are as well. My favorite is the 1:18 scale Force car which has the tribute to the astronauts that flew on the Challenger's final mission. I also have D. Earnhardt"s final win car. Autographed Elliott Sadler birthday car when he drove for RYR. Old Folger's Mark Martin car. Davey Allison's white 28 car. Ernie Irvan's 28 car and the 88 Havoline car he drove when he returned to racing after a near fatal crash. Dale Jarrett's 28 and 88 car, and a Dale Jr. Oreo Busch car which was the first time the number 3 was used after Dale Sr. passed. This is only about 1/10 of the diecasts I have, but these are the top ones IMO.
