If so ,will you share what you used and what does/don't work? i have a set of headers that need recoating/painted and i can't really afford to have them done the right way so i figured i'd see if anybody done theirs at home and see what you used that did/didn't work for you.please share if you have any ideas. thanks

we had a set that we painted with the 500+ degree paint from advance autoparts and it looked pretty good

The 500+ degree will last for a little while but they also make a 1200+ degree now that you can only get in jus a few colors... like white, black,an i think like a silver looking one.... but those are the way to go if you jus GOTA spray them!
Its much cheaper than coatings an it will do the trick.:thumbsup1:

never painted a set myself but I have seen someone do there's by getting them red hot first then painting them with 500+ temp paint
This is how they came out. This is after 4 engines 50k + miles

I heard that John Deere muffler paint will work. I have never used it but I read on another forum that it works good. You have to go to a John Deere store to get it.
