Well I'm rebuilding the engine in my turbo coupe and of course like most the head is cracked in 3 different places. So if anyone needs good anchor or door stop let me know. But anyhow i am havine to fix a N/A head to work on this engine seeing how there's not one this side of the mississippi. And I'm not buying one off the internet that i cant see. So I have to make this work. Those familiar with 2.3s know the mustang heads have a heart shape combustion chamber(thats what I'm working on-from an88) But the turbo doesn't have this so i have to cut some of the cc out to lower my compression for the turbo to work properly. Now the question is has anyone cut on anytype of cc and what is the best tool to do so. And if someone has a lot of time on there hands and wants to help a fellow member out and isn't scared like my machine shop guy. Than let me know and u can have at it. All advice and tips are greatly appreciated

They are local to me and I can get a price for you. Where are you located, you can get it yourself, they are you-pull-it yards.

The only problem with a you-pull-it is that it has been said that probably 90% of the heads out there, including on running cars, are cracked somehow due to the excessive heat. I aill probably just try to do something with what i got but thanks for the help.
I don't have a problem opening the chamber, and you can gain airflow from it. PM me, if you want any details, or have any questions.

Well i thought about thicker head gaskets, but i'd be afraid of them due to the turbo plus for what it would cost i caould have this other head fixed.

Well, when I checked my local yards on www.car-part.com there where many rebuilt heads. I have never had a head fixed, but I wouldn't worry about the cost but rather the quality of a "repaired" head.

Yeah we've already discussed it. But now i gotta wait till we get in our new house. We just made our offer yesterday, so it'll probably gonna be about a month. But from what i hear he's the man so he'll get to do it when all this bs is over. Man I'm tired of having put his thing on the backburner. Feels like I'm never gonna get it done.

If the cracks are in the exhaust valve seats then they may be repaired by having some hardened valve seat inserts pressed in them and machined to fit oversized valves. I wouldn't put some crappy n/a heads on it.
