The black piece that sticks out of the tranny that the clutch cable goes to just moves back and forth and it has no pedal

Make sure the Quad under the dash isn't broken or the cable isn't broken. It might need a firewall adjuster if the cable isn't broken and it has a aftermarket quad.

Sounds like the cable came off the quad. Side!

let me explain it a little better, when i first noticed it the clutch cable was really loose, not even tight at all. I adjusted it and got it tight and now it's sorta hard but it's still not engaging. I press the clutch in like it's got a clutch but just not working right. I myself thought it was in the cable some where but is the cable suppose to be on the inside or outside of that black piece that sticks out of the tranny?

the cable should slid through on the side near the trans and then slide back over to the outside of the clutch fork (furthest point away from bell housing) run you fire wall adj all the way in, then take slack up at the clutch fork and back out the fire wall adj 3/4 of a inch or you can back the fire wall adj out 3/4 inch first i normaly do the fire wall adj first.
