Had a great night!

I't almost the weekend and during the week when I get home it's just organized chaos between dinner time, playing with my 4 and 2 yr old, attending to the needs of the 3 older ones, and getting everyone to bed and ready for the next day. Sometimes it is soo hectic here that my wife and I barely have anytime to talk much less spend some time together.

Well, today while i was at work my wife sent me a text asking if I wanted to go on a dinner date tonight....I said sure. After i got home I changed out of my uniform into casual clothes and the babysitter came over and we actually were able to sit down, have a meal and drink and enjoy ourselves without the kids, seems like the first time in forever! Now if it was Friday night instead of Thursday night it would be perfect!

so happy for you.. make a regular date night for the two of you... if it is only once a month or what not, least you both know you have that to look forward to :thumbsup1:

scott and i never have anything like that.. it is both of our fault... not one person to blame for it.. i would love to have a weekend to ourselves.. maybe a mtn trip to a B&B or just a nite get away to a nice motel or something... maybe when the kids are grown and gone or we hit the lottery..lol.. or if he were to let me quit work ..LOL.. i can dream , right?

I remember those days,it dos'nt matter what day it is just enjoy them while you can,my youngest is 16 so we can go out on a dinner date any time we want to,there just not as special as they were 10 to 15 years ago.

Yea Kelly and me really need a get away just the two of us, but that is **** near impossible with our work schedules. If we are both off the same day, someone doesn't want to go or do anything................:rolleyes:

i know how you feel we rarely get out alone but when we do its great im either at work or working on the rides seems like it gets harder all the time i dont know when we got away for a weekend to somewhere special and yall reminded me its bout time to plan a getaway

Heck, even when Farah and I got married, we had our 3 oldest kids with us because we elpoed.....talk about a crowded honeymoon!
Right now I'll settle for a date night, would love to plan a weekend away, maybe when Emily and Landon are a little older, perhaps maybe MW09?
