Where would be a good, reliable, resonably priced place to take my car and get the tv cable set and find out why it won't go in overdrive and they won't try to sh** me, around easley area? Thanks

You can set the TV cable very easily. PM Notch93 he has the video on setting it.

I've already set it according to the video. I just want to have it checked by a shop. I think they use line pressure or something to set it. I just really don't wanna lose this tranny for a while it's now my only way of going. I need it at least to last til I find a 5 speed. Hopefully by mustang week.

besides no o/d......how else does the tranny do?

No O/D or Neutrals in 4th is MOST LIKELY the O/D band, the AOD are bad for it b/c its pushing a heavy car in OD with a band that is too narrow, the AODE and 4R series have a 2" wide band, the AOD's, a wimpy 1.5".

Besides the o/d it does good. The shifter is out of sync a little because the tranny is out of a tbird and the lever is a litle longer. But I know where it goes so no big deal. I've heard of quite a few of these losing od. Tony (mustang91lx) is having the same trouble with no od. I just pop it down in d and let it roll. The 355 gears are a little much without od but it works. I'll see what a shop has to say. I figure they'll want to go into it but that won't happen I'll just run it till it bites the dust and swap in a 5 speed. Good thing is my car is setup for both. I know something will have to change before mustang week. Too much interstate driving to the beach without od. Probably screaming about 3500 the whole way. That makes my ears hurt just thinking about it. But I'll get it :thumbsup1:

Yeah It sure is clean but that dang od has got me wondering. I hope its just the cable. Maybe a shop can straighten it out and not try to screw me. I still need that bracket to hold the cable though. My homemade one may be my problem:dunno: If it makes it till friday it'll be in the shop geting looked at

does it even try to go into od or just nothing at all? if nothing at all, then your band is prob gone, but if it atleast trys its prob your valve body.

Its hard to explain. When it's supposed to be in od and you gas it it slips. Like its not even going in you have to gear it back down and it does fine. I think od is just gone I don't know. I'll just run it in d. By the time i paid a shop to fix it i could have done bought a 5 speed. I'll still let them look at it but not take the pan off. Thats where their pockets get full. Like I said I'll let a shop give their opinion and if its just the cable I'll fix it if its internal then I won't have od.

Mine never sees OD, unless I'm above 55 MPH, and I have 4.10's.:lol1::lol1::lol1:

Yes when it's supposed to be in od it free revs. I figure the od is just gone but thats alright.

slipping is slipping...if the TC system is hooked up and adjusted, then sounds like the band is going south on you....pretty common either way. Sorry for the luck.
