VERY Safe. I can hang off the rear end, and it doesn't even shake. Capacity on it is 6,000 lbs. I can't lift our SuperDuty with it, but most cars, and most light trucks, it lifts no problem. VERY stable.

Its portable, but it weighs 1,000lbs itself so I wouldn't want to take it from house to house very often, but we keep it in the garage, and roll it out when we need it.

This is the ONLY downfall. Exhaust, you can do. Transmission... not so much. I mean its doable, but it would be more of a struggle to get under the trans to support it when removing it. But for suspension work, brakes, Oil Changes, and thing like that, its perfect. even a driveshaft would be fine. But the trans, just not enough room to get in there to get it out.
