I'm so confused now,how do I know how much each line/mark represents?

The gauge is in the middle and I'm trying to figure out how much that is.

The middle on the gauge is 190-195. But I would highly recommend getting an aftermarket gauge.:yes1:

What temp T-Stat are you using?

Im using a 180

When it's in the middle, is that with the air on or off? I still say put a real gauge in the car, when you get the free money to spend.:yes1:

No air.Just a few days ago it would run super cold, between the second and third bar with or without a/c,but since the leak it went up to the middle and I was told that the leak may have come from the radiator car seal being broken, and I'm wondering if it is that if that would cause the car to run hotter??

Did you fix the leak? If so did you burp the system good? You might have air in the system.

It just stopped leaking one day.How do I get that air out??

Leave the radiator cap off, turn the engine on and let it run until the radiator "burps" (T-Stat opens) You will see the coolant level drop and may see or hear a large air bubble come to the top as the system burps.

Keep an eye on the temperature gauge throughout this process.

Refill the radiator to the top and coolant reservoir as needed.

Put the radiator cap back on.

Note that if the engine runs hot after this procedure there may have been another pocket of air that "burped." Let the engine cool down and then add more coolant to both the radiator and the coolant reservoir.

Should I change the cap?

Should I change the cap?

I not saying you have to, but they're cheap enough, that you might want to consider it.

I've got a 180 stat in mine, taurus efan, stock radiator, napa waterpump....it very seldom will get above the second mark. If I sit in traffic not moving it'll come up some, but, its never been to the middle, even with the a/c on, not moving in summer traffic. As for what temp it actually is, I can't say anything but that its cool.

Mine was just like that, and I have the stock fan, stock water pump(might have been changed),3 row aluminum radiator,it ran SUPER cold.

I've got the 180 thermostat, stock fan/radiator, and a hiflo waterpump (stock type replacement). Mine usually stays between the bottom two marks.

So you had a leak then it went away on it's own? Something doesn't sound right. Where was the leak coming from?

Should I change the cap?

I thought we discussed that? For the few dollars, I would install a new cap for Peace of Mind!
