My mustang is a 1987 Mustang LX. The motor and tranny came out of a 94 mustang and has only 35000 on them. It has sparco racing seats, 4:10 gears, 5speed with hurst shifter, saleen wing, rodlite wheels, sub-frame connectors, built in dvd player and tv, autometer gauges made into the vents, 5inch tach, and best of all it's a t-top. It did all the work of helping me win the burnout contest at SEFB Track Day:taunt:. It's purple which the color is for a 1994 porsche. 4inch cowl hood,

one of the best days of my life

My 93 coupe is stock except for a full exhaust system (headers, O/R H-Pipe and a flowmaster cat-back) CAI, and 1993 Polished Cobra wheels. It only has 55,xxx original miles on the clock. The previous owner painted the upper intake red to match the car.:thumbsdown1:( I have a GT40 intake that will be going on soon, along with more parts that are just resting in the garage :firedevil:)

I will take some good pics tomorrow and edit this post.:yes1::thumbsup1:

HISTORY of the car: Featured in a previous issue of 5.0 Mustangs & Super Fords in 2005 when the previous owner had the car...that's the "claim to fame" if even there is one :) The car has the rare 1,000,000 mile odometer and the not so common factory CD player installed...1 of only 243 with the color combination of Reef Blue with the Black cloth interior.

MODIFICATIONS: All were basically done @ 77k. Currently the car has only 87k. Since then, the car has only come out on clear days & has not seen rain. For me...it stays garaged only to come out for cruise-ins, shows & a frequent joy ride, and for me to put another coat of wax on it! :)

Project List: Polish the plenum...further clean up the engine bay...install my C/C plates I recently bought...billet fuel door possibly...Flowmasters to replace the Borla exhaust...Leather interior, etc...

Car ran a best of 12.77 @ 105 and is producing 226 rwhp, 288 rwtq.

*Funny story...2 months ago approx, I was attempting to remove/replace my rear view mirror with a billet one. I was "fishing around" for a set screw to release it, as all the other mirrors I'm familiar with simply attach with such a screw. Usually mirrors end up FALLING off and you're having to run to the auto parts store for the glue and such to re-fasten them. Well, these mirrors don't HAVE that little set screw, but rather a small tool that you insert up in there to release it. A/ways...I couldn't get it off so I began to "twist it" a bit hoping it would release and pop off...NOT! :) Yeah...it came off alright, but it ALSO took a chunk of the WINDSHIELD off too! Not a real problem, as SC insurance provides for a FREE windshield replacement with no deductible! The glass was original and not in need of repair, but NOW I've got new glass to hold my new mirror in place! :)

Hey Bones...do we at least get a Yogi Button if we don't win? lol :)

Blacksheep...yeah, Kyle is a great guy...very pleasant, and really just met him at the last Fat Boy's Cruise In. I HAD met him a year or so back there also, but he might not recall. We'll have yet to get struts on it up front & install the C/C plates at the same time. The fellow who owned the car before me sent me approx 100 pics of the car...kind of a "history" albumn which is neat. Actually, the car had been lowered up front when HE bought it, and he put the struts on it to bring it up to stock height. Sad, but the struts which need replacing have only 10k on them. The only thought is that that type was a new introduction for them at the time(Strange), and/or got a Monday mornin' production piece! :)

Gotta go...

The reason to ask is, in your iNITial post you note it's over September 6th late in the evening.

THEN in the voting area it notes September 7th @ 7:13pm (how did THAT time of 7:13 even come about?) :) I'm thinkin' it was a full "X" number of days after you opened the poll and it was 7:13 when you 1st posted? Either way...

Those that are sandbaggin' and waitin', the time may be sooner than they think? Do you have the ability to send out a mass email to members alerting them to whatever you might want to contact them about? Can't recall if there was a setting to allow for administration to contact you for w/ever reason or not.

We got a little mist/rain earlier today...haven't poked my head outside for a while (but I'm about to), but more than likely it will be wet here in the Columbia area SOME time over the next 48 hours! Gotta go...
