I got my 91 GT out of paint Thursday, It looked really good. I got it painted oxford white, at the maaco in Asheville. We unloaded it Friday night after we got off work (WE as in fast50, stangsteeda and myself). My car went into paint with no interior, carpet, dash, headlights, taillights, window moldings or weatherstripping. Completely disassembled. Friday night we put in the taillights. Saturday, we put in the dash, headlights, tightened the bumper cover, put on the spoiler, put in the plastics in the hatch as well as the carpet in the hatch, window moldings and weatherstripping. I was going to drive it Saturday night, but the drag radials I had on it were rubbing my quad shocks, so it only made it a mile from the house with the billowing smoke and smell of burnt rubber. Needless to say my old tires and wheels went back on. Today we finished the interior, put in the carpet, finished the dash and put in all plastics and seats. The only things missing are my 5.0 badges and my door panels.
I drove it home today, I was so excited. It is definately a head turner!! I get my NEW wheels and tires mounted tomorrow, and we are going to try to make it to the photo shoot Saturday May 2nd anyway just to get the whole foxbody caravan we have out together. Im definately going to get pictures on here, I just havent found the time yet. We put in I know 20 HOURS :yes1: between yesterday and today getting everything put back on. Its very exciting to have it running now. I still have some issues with the valve stem seals (it smokes when i start it) and it pulls when I accelerate, but I think we have that narrowed down from my wreck when I got it. But definately going to try to make it down to greenville on the 2nd so you guys can see it!! :thumbsup1:
