Hey I'm Tony from Pickens, now living in Travelers Rest. At this time I am stangless. I have owned 3 in my life, 2 of which I built. I traded my last one, an 88 5.0 hatch for an 87 turbo coupe which i still have. I'm in the middle of rebuilding the engine in my tc which makes me ready to see it go. That's my plans as soon as it's gone. Wondering what kinda gas mileage u guys who have basically stock 5.0's are getting compared to my tc to see if i should go back. I do miss my 5.0s for sure. But I look forward to meeting you all soon.

Hey Tony, welcome to the club. Sorry can't help ya with the stock gas millage right now. We should have my son's back on the road within a week or so, and can get ya some numbers then.

"Stangless"...WOWSER...so you're close to suicidal? LOL...I know you're needin' a fix! As far a mileage goes, I don't have a clue...I can guess, but a guess isn't what you're fishin' for is it. :) I don't drive mine daily, so my guess would be way off the mark probalby. In the vehicle(s) that I drive regularly, I don't that either...I just put it in and don't look! Ha...gotta have it, so pump away~~~

Welcome to the board by the way.

Welcome to the site Tony.:hi: On the highway I get 22-23 MPG, around town 15-16 MPG. Mine is basicly stock except for exhaust. It's an AOD with 3.27's, around town I don't use OD though.

Thanks for the welcome guys, Man people here are alot friendlier than other mustang forums. I post on stangnet and might get 1 reply a day and it's usually bashing. Glad to find some guys from my neck of the woods with the same passion that i have. Well it seems i may have to keep my tc and just buy another fox. At this time it would be hard to sacrifice the gas mileage. Hell at worst i should get at least 23 after my rebuild (from what i've heard). I would like to meet up with u guys at a meet or something after my rebuild is done and see what ya'll think about the tc. I hate to get rid of it cause the're getting kinda rare, but i wanna get in a local club also. But I'll just have to meet up with ya'll and see if i can get permission to cruise with ya'll some, seeing how it is a mustangs chunky brother right:) Thanks and let me know what you think.

No I believe thats my uncles old car. He sold it to a guy in marietta about 6 or so years ago. Mine looks just like it except it's gold. It's down right now, I'm rebuilding the engine but the next time you see it you'll know it's me cause it's gonna be black and hauling a$$.LOL. I dirve a white 02 f150 right now, you've probably seen it cause I work at Gayley. I'm in maritta all the time. You'll know it too cause it's got a distinct sound to it. If you can't see it you'll think its a mustang, it sounds exactly the same. But I hope to see you around. Oh and my buddy Josh lives in Marietta and he has a 91(I think) gt, it's red and has a lot of mods under the hood and it's pretty quick. It has gray cobra r's. if you see it check it out or better yet make him have to get on it:) Tell him Tony sent ya:thumbsup1:

Does it have a big cowl hood on it? Do you know bunky, wayne, or daniel moody?

No I'm originally from Pumpkintown so besides friends and family i really dont know many around here. My grandpa was related to some moody;s somehow, but idk. I know Joe Moody was his cousin or something. But now that I've thought about I've seen you're car around. Like all mustang men I spot em from a mile away. But my buddys car still looks stock except the wheels. You wouldn't think it was much by looking at it, but it's bada$$. If your on myspace you can check it out. His screenname is grizzlydude123. And mine is of course superstroke17.

Oh yeah and as for the whit tc. From what I've heard with a little work they're some kicka$$ cars. This is my first one so IDK. But my uncle said the one he had would dust his 86 GT. Hard to believe but i guess it's possible. I have heard from others that swear by them that they will keep up with a stock 5.0. Guess I'll find out when my rebuilds done.;)

i haven't had a turbo coupe but i had a super coupe, it's the 3.8 supercharged, it had a little work done to it and it would leave my mustang like they was sittin still.

Yeah I'm still wanting to get another mustang. But I'm afraid that after my tc is done i won't get enough out of it buy another stang. Resale value sucks on these cars. I hope it will bring 3k but we'll just have to see.
