The location for the event is 100 Ridgefield Court, Asheville, NC 28806. The location is behind the K-Mart and Kia dealership next to Biltmore Square Mall.

The agenda for the day is as follows:

Law Enforcement: Local police, Sheriff Depts., Highway Patrol and Park Rangers will provide us with proper escort through traffic lights and major intersections. Please stay as close as you safely can during the Pony Run so other vehicles cannot cut in or break up our convoy.

Voting: Voting will take place from 12:30-3:00pm. It is a popular choice voting system. Next year our two day show will be an MCA modified judging format.

50/50: The 50/50 will start at noon and go until about 3pm. At or about 3:15pm the 50/50 will be awarded.

Raffle ticket items: We will be selling raffle tickets for items that have been donated by local and national companies. Some of the national companies are: CORSA, AMSOIL, MOSS MOTORS, CJ PONY PARTS and NATIONAL PARTS DEPOT. Raffle ticket winners will be announced at 3:30pm.

Door Prizes: Your ticket is attached to your dash ID. Listen for your number to be called before the Pony Run starts and during the car show in the afternoon!!!

Oh yea the tunnels.I took the stang for a ride up there yesterday.I got behind a bunch of bicycle riders and they would'nt move over.I finally got by them right before one of the long tunnels. When I got in there I did a nice long 2nd gear burnout.I hope they enjoyed smelling burnt rubber and 93 octane fumes all the way through it:taunt:I just love living in the mountains.

This just copied from the BRMCOA Web site:

UPDATE 9/12/08

The Asheville Chamber of Commerce said just now that gas would be spotty here but there will be gas available.
Now that Hurricane Ike is no longer a threat to the Southeast, the Blue Ridge Mustang Club is going forth and will hold our 3rd Annual Mustangs for Hospice Pony Run & Mustang Show AS PLANNED this Saturday, September 13th. The chance of rain is very minimal. Some of you may come into a stray shower as you drive to our event, so bring your microfiber cloth and a quick detailer and you will be ready to show and shine your 'Stang!!
There is a lot of conversation regarding the gas situation and we have fielded a number of calls since Thursday. Thanks to the media and the price gouging gas corporations, they have caused undue concern for everyone. As in your own neighborhoods, gas has risen dramatically the past few days here in Western North Carolina.....as of this morning (Friday) gas is very much available and is averaging around $3.79 a gallon, up about 25 cents in two days. Some of the Ingles gas stations have run out of gas due to people listening to the radio and TV and only hearing the words "out of gas". They don't hear that it is a some of the Ingles stores.........
Hard to believe that any gas facility can run out of gas when for the last 7 days all we have seen and heard is that Ike is going to hit Texas and the refineries on the gulf coast. You would think that distributors would have made sure there was ample supply everywhere before everything shut down in advance of the storm.
Either way, there is gas available in Western North Carolina and based upon how many NEW hits our website was viewed yesterday (80) we foresee a very large turnout for our Pony Run. The route is set, about 90% of the police escorts are ready to go, the food vendors are stoked up with food, Dunkin' Donuts will provide free donuts in the morning (while supplies last), the band is tuning their guitars, the t-shirts are in, the weather is going to be warm and muggy with a small chance of showers on Saturday and over $3000 of raffle prizes are waiting to be claimed by you lucky winners. We also have over 100 door prizes, so many of you will have the chance to win a neat door prize too!!!
I drove the route yesterday and the Parkway and the Pisgah Forest are stunning......even a few shots of fog lifting upwards at great speed was a unique sight to see.........Bring an umbrella and sun tan lotion and lets get those 'Stangs on the road!!!

The chamber of commerce are a bunch of idiots. They don't know sh*t.

Everybody is panicking and gas is over $4 a gallon and going higher. Several gas stations are out of gas with more running out every hour. Go to wlos.com its right there on the web site.
