So the 85 might not make its big debut this weekend for the greenville shows, its making some wierd as noise in the drivetrain somewhere. I'd been hearing a roaring noise every now and again when I took off but I thought it might be because I just had the rear shoes changed and the e brake might be sticking a little. Well today I crank it up to leave work and its making a roaring/scrubbing noise from the tranny. Im not sure what the hell is going on with it. It stopped but then it did it again twice on the way home not as bad. And to beat all my wipers act like they are skipping, I think the friggin motor is about to go out. Im gonna try and get it changed out tomorrow and hope the noise goes away. But its not looking good I may be in the 08 this weekend. Anyone have any idea what would make that noise? Sounds kinda like brakes rubbing metal to metal grinding im not sure. It can be anything to bad when I got home to the shop I did about two good burnouts and nothing broke. I guess thats a good thing:lol1:

Look at the harmonic balancer,The counter weight may have moved. The sound might be it hitting the timing cover.could also be the dust cover behind the font wheels rubbing the disc.

And when they start to seperate, if you don't catch them in time. It can ruin the bottom end quick.

I wonder if that isn't what it is. I thought it was in the brakes but it did it yesterday at idle so it has to be in the engine/tranny. What are some signs to look for on it?

Balancer looks good. I drove it to town and back tonight with no problems. I guess Ill just keep driving it till she flys or blows apart.

Hey by chance could it be your throw out bearing or check to make sure there is fluid in the transmission never know since you haven't had it long
