Cooling question.

On a fox how many times should the factory fan spin when ya give it a whirl? I have electric fans on all our stangs except a few recent projects. I am not converting anytime soon but driving them while we play and need to make sure.

After the engine is shut off spins maybe another 5x or more and if I spin it with my hand it will make a turn or 2. I remember them being a lot more stout but it has been a while since I have messed with the clutch fans.

My vote is that this one is bad or close to it.

Anyone know for sure?

Any clutch style cooling fan should not make more than one rev after the engine stops.if it does it is bad

Austin swapped it today and took it for a drive. It does fine now but I think he already has an electric fan out of stock to put on tomorrow.

Dang kids nowadays. He says it is cool when we cut the car off and the fan is still running. Go figure. :)
