If you would like to save them...turn them around......able to squeeze a 285 on the back of my brothers car by doing just that......
Yea i heard u can turn them around to. I have a few cuts on my side wall from my fender rubbing to. And thats with 265/35/18

Your going to put 285's on the rear or front? The 91-93 front fenders are a little bigger, then the 87-90's. But the rear is the same on all.

flip them first. if you still have clearance issues, take them off and hope you don't get bad wheelhop until you can get some good upper/lower control arms.
i think i passed your car on 385 monday/tuesday evening when i was leaving work. nice looking car.

Before I'd drop BIG $'s into 285's, I'd want to see 1st hand how they fit...that is, if you're not wanting to bang the inner fender wall and either roll or cut the lips.
Like I had s/one tell me last week, he's not concerned about the bounce/hop with the quads removed goin' around corners/curves...he's just interested in runnin' the car straight! These cars from the factory have a tendency to hop, skip & jump...that being said, if you CAN leave them on, do so. If you have to remove 'em to make it all fit, ha...you've got no choice! :)

you don't have to be turning to experience wheelhop. mine has wheelhopped like an sob before when i launched it or shifting from 1-2nd at the track. and wheelhop = no good! that's usually when ish breaks!

ive never had wheelhop around a corner... only on launch or on the 1-2 shift... feels like its coming apart going into 2nd at times...

in the rear, the inner fenders are wider on 93 than 92 and below. its between 1/4 and 1/2 diff. trust me, i have measured :thumbsup1:

I agree... throw them out. I didnt notice any wheel hop, but i installed control arms shortly after removing them.

We run 275/50/15's on several of our cars at the track with no quad shocks and no wheel hop.

I just flipped mine around and am running 275/40/17s on my notch. They do however rub the inner fender when going in an angled driveway.

I'm gonna bring this post back from the dead. I pulled off my tire tonight b/c of a nail and have decided to remove my quad shocks. I have aftermarket UCAs and LCAs.
I flipped my quads around and running a 295/35/18. and about to go with a 305 after a few more burnout. lol
