Has anybody ever heard of Champion Fiberglass Products and know anything about the quality of their hoods? They may be attending an event in March at The Rock and thought about maybe trying to get one if they are there. But I don't know how good they are. The feedback on the website looks good, but I doubt they wouldn't use anything bad either. Thought some of you might know something about them. And I hope this doesn't go against non sponsor advertising. I didn't think it would.

100% junk. Don't buy them, they don't fit good, no support at the latch, etc...

I had a Cincinnati Composite hood a few years ago, it took them 6 months to make it and send it too me, then when it got painted it bubbled up from the fiberglass.

well what we gotta remember about the fit is that the newest fox bodies are 16 years old and the oldest ones are already 30 years old(!) and with the flemsy chassis on these cars they are probably not as straight as they used to be no matter what.

i run a body shop for a living and have put a ton of the champion hoods on that customers have brung to me at the shop. most guys are buying them at the rockingham events. the hoods dont fit bad at all. i usually have to block the sides a touch to make perfect body lines and i usually have to prime and block the hoods to make them really straight but i have never even had a kaenen or cervini hood that didnt need some work......

with that said, i have to pick up 3 hoods for customers of mine this coming weekend at the rock also.....i'm not scared at all to use them. we have never had one to ever give any issues.....its kinda hard to call'm junk if you havent had one!!

Another option on a very good fiberglass hood would be H.O.Fibertrends.

H.O is a good hood also but honestly here lately they have required a good bit of work for waves and such. the quality of the hoods isnt what it one was

there is alot of options out here that I have now found out. another I have seen is ABC Exclusive, and they seem to be okay. One problem I have seen is that its hard to find out much info. and pics about the high dollar hoods except for what someone else tells you. The cheaper companies have more info on website and better photos, especially ABC. I beleive alot of the difference is matter of opinion. Not saying that some are not better than others, but it all comes down to what you want and can afford.

I'm not saying these high dollar hoods aren't any good, I'm just not yet sold on the idea that they are that much better, to pay twice the amount of money for them. Not to mention the cost of the expensive shipping. For instance, I buy a Champion cowl hood at the Rock next weekend for $270.00. No shipping. A cervinis will be around $600.00 w/ shipping. With the Champion, I saved $330, and if I need to do a little blocking, so be it. I saved a ton of money. Or could spend $600 and still have to block it from what I've been told. I may be wrong, and please correct me if I am, but seems like an easy choice.

not trying to be an aZZ but how much will it cost you to replace the windshield and do the bodywork to the roof when the champion hood comes up when your driving down the road?

id rather buy a better quality hood

to tell you the truth...honestly....I looked at the Champion hoods at the Rock, and looked at some others on cars as well. Especially a Cervinis that we talked to a guy about. The Champion had better support around the latch than the Cervinis. No lie. Maybe Champion has stepped it up a notch or something. I don't know. But I was impressed with them.

Ive bought 3 different hoods from Dave at HO Fibertrends and all of them really fit good. He usually comes to alot of the mustang events.
