Prayers Requested for my Cousin

His name is RJ, he's 12 years old and we just found out he has lymphoma(sp?). He had surgery Friday and he is getting his Port-a-Cath and will be starting Chemotherapy and Radiation. He asks questions, but has a wonderful attitude and outlook. Please pray for him and that this can all be taken care of and he can return to normal because he's such a great kid and deserves to be able to his life to the fullest.....

RJs blood work looked good today!!!! Counts have come up to low normal, so I took him to eat at Judges, and to Walmart to just look around. He really enjoyed getting out! I spoke with his oncologist who says enjoy today because the chemo will wipe his counts out again. Oh well, whatever it takes to make him better in the end!

RJ goes for bloodwork Thurs. Hope the white counts are staying up. Please pray for the 15th also. He goes back to Baptist for 3 days for his big chemo treatments. They are also doing PET scans and other tests to determine if he is a rapid early responder or slow early responder. If rapid, he will continue on his current tx schedule. If slow, they will step up or extend chemo treatments before they start the radiation. Lets pray for Rapid!

Just a little update on RJ. He Goes back in for follow up blood work today and doesn't have another Chemo treatment until next Thurs. He still is having some pain and his immune system is extremely weak at this point. He also has begun to lose some of his hair but i got to see him last weekend and he said "it's ok I'll just wear a hat like you". He is in very high spirits about everything still. Thanks for all you have been :pray: for him and please continue to do so as he still has a long road ahead of him. We also have a facebook page for him where all updates are posted and they will soon be selling armbands to help with his medical bills.

UPDATE AS OF 5:09PM Eastern RJ went for his blood work today. Sad to say counts are still dropping. His white blood cells, red blood cells and hemaglobin continue to drop. We were hoping the WBCs(???) would come up some, but everyone just keep praying. Thank you

hey guys make sure to go to corys other thread about Rj.there having a cool little deal for him in aprile.go to NON CLUB EVENTS,NC and the post for RJ.it will tell everything.we need to support this kid.alot of us could be in his familys shoes very easily.
