Is there anyone in the club that lives in or close to Anderson? I was curious if anyone has heard and good or bad things about a shop that i may be dropping my car off at on Monday. It is a really small body shop on Hwy 28 bypass. The guy was real nice and gave me a good quote. I was just wondering if anyone heard anything negative about the shop that would keep me from going there.

700 to completely sand down the car, fix dings, line up the bumper and fenders, fix some surface rust on the hatch and paint the car with ppg base/then clear.

Dude ,i paint my own stuff.you would have 500.00 in material alone(if you buy good paint) so if you smart you'll laugh that off and go to a real body shop.

that's the shop next to Wiles trailer supplies on 28 bypass.i've seen one of the cars he's painted and it looked good!but i'd asked to see some of the other cars he's done and check them out real close before letting him do it!

I looked at a few of the cars he had done, and they looked good. The paint on my car is pretty crappy to start with so anything would be an improvement. I think i am gonna give the guy a shot but i deffinatly am not going to pay him up front.

Well I went to Maco the other day just to see what they would paint my Honda for and got them down to $450. So I guess if you check his work out go for it but that is very cheap. The key to a good paint job is the body work and prep before you paint, and using a real good paint and clear

just make sure he uses a good paint. Their are a few shop that are real cheap, but you generally get what you are paying for. Most all over jobs should be around 12 to 1800.00.THat doesnt mean that he wont do a goo job.remember if the prep work is the most important part of a good long lasting job.

thats not a fair comparison.makos(wait thats a loud club in florida ain't it???LOL)macco buys there materials way cheaper than a little body shop can and probably don't pay a big salary to there workers.

I know from experence if you use good paint and clear you will have at least 500-700 dollars just in materials. Sounds cheap but I havent seen any of his work.

On the other hand about Maco's I've been to the one in ATL and the one in Fla. Had women swinging in swings from the celling. Had a few and ended up on the swing with one of them. Got the pic to prove it!!!

HaHa! Nothing like walking in the door, and having a beaver try to take your head off!!! ROFLOL! I remember the two that recommended that place. If I was 22-23 then, and single, whooa, it would've been a good time!

Got my car back today. They fixed 95% of my imperfections and I only see a couple flaws that I hope will cut and buff out. Overall i am pretty impressed. I will attach a few pics. Sorry for the poor quality but my wife is out of town with our good camera. Check out the pics and let me know what you think.

The flames were a last min addition. On the way back from dropping it off monday afternoon i got caught on 85 about 5 cars back from that big wreck that shut down the hwy for and hour. While i was sitting there bored I called him up and said i think some ghost flames would look hot. lol so he threw them on there for me.
