where is the best location to mount a msd box on a fox?

A lot of folks put theres on the passenger side firewall/fender in a manner that it will not get real wet. Mine is inside the car in the glove box area. The biggest thing to remember is mount it so it is not exposed to direct water, or so I am told. However someone else may have a better idea of where to mount it.

I put mine under the Air Filter on the pass. side. Some people put them under the battery also.

Biggest thing is keep it away from water, I would think you wouldn't want it to get heat soaked either, so a place with plenty of air flow over it.

Mines beside the coil on the inside driver fender... but you might have to relocate your battery :)

Mine is inside the car in the glove box area.


Best place to mount the MSD box, keeps it out of the elements ( water, etc. ) and away from the heat under the hood.

i mount them on the passenger side of the trans tunnel or under the drivers seat.i don't like to see them under the hood,heat and water has a chance at getting to them.

another question? does it make a diffrence in the idle and fuel burn off?
i have a real rich condition at low speeds and idle!

I have mine in the passenger footwell too, irritates me tho with the buzzing sound, also gets extremely hot.. If I were to put it in the glove department it wouldn't melt it??

That's funny. Mine was mounted there along with my Two Step and Multi Stage Retard Box.
