I just installed a adjustable clutch cable and clutch quadrent and know I can hardly get my car into gear. So my question is how do I adjust the cable so I can get my car into gear. Also when I try to put it into gear the car starts pulling before I get it into gear. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

your car is moving before you put in gear? or when you start pushing it like into first it starts moving?

the clutch cable is too long. which means that the clutch is not completely disengaging the trans from the engine. if you have the car idling and try to put it in reverse, it should grind. if it does not grind, than i am misleading you.

if it does grind going into reverse, you need to shorten the clutch cable, you should be able to pop the cover off the trans end, and run the nut onto the shaft making the cable shorter.

do you have a stock quadrant?

Do you have a firewall adjuster aswell or does it just adjust at the pedal and tranny?

I have a steeda quadrent and I do not have a firewall adjuster. It does grind when I try to put it into reverse. Thanks for the help so far.

is the steeda a single hook, or a triple hook? if it's a triple hook it should be on the middle hook i believe.

Nova said it first (slow computer) I was going to suggest to shorten the cable a little at a time till it feels right. Should get you fixed up. Pending quadrant style.

You really need to install a Firewall Adjuster with that set up alos. It will give you more adjustability and help eliminate your problems.

Oh By the way Steeda does NOT sell a Triple Hook Quadrant. That is UPR!

X2 that is how I adjust mine and I have a 03 Cobra style adjustable cable. I set the cable then fine tune with the Firewall adjuster it is alot easier. It can be done Either way.
