Ok, today has been the worst day in the past few months with work, so I decided to vent on here. Long story short, the company I work for is having financial issues and I (as well as all salary employees) have not been paid in three weeks. I have not received my check from Jan. 16 and was supposed to get another on Feb. 2. I have not received either of them. There was positive emails sent out that we would finally get paid today, but as you can guess it didn't happen. So, to say the least, I was extremely pissed because this has put a huge burden on my family and I'm just fed up with it. I have done everything I can do short of quitting, which I can't do because I do not have any other options right now. Anyway, feel free to post up with anything you may want to say. Thanks for listening.

Man.....that just sucks. I feel for you and your situation as I got laid off twice last year.....just filed my taxes for my refund....had 4 W2's....plus the 1099 where I emptied my 401k last year....I hope they get you caught up and pay you what they owe you.
What kind of work do you do?

Make a claim with the State Attorney Generals office... alot of Co. try to void paying out employees before closing. This will force them to a court date if you are not payed out when they knew before hand. I'm not trying to scare you, but they usually do this to keep money for themselves before a chapter.

I can file a claim with the labor board, but then my name will be out there that I filed it. I understand what you are saying and that is my fear, but word is that money is coming. So, I am torn as to what to believe and which direction to go.

According to the labor board, they can't be made to pay if the money isn't there. I have asked myself the same question over and over and really don't see how some of the corporate personel sleep at night.

Thanks man, I appreciate it.
Thanks to everyone else. I really hope this economy gets better soon. I know it's tough on everyone right now. It actually did help to vent on here though. Thanks to all for listening.

I hate to hear that man, no company should be allowed to do that to their employees!
Where I work they just did away with third shift and laied off some people and brought the rest to first and second shifts. Said that was to save money.
So today we are working Sat. overtime !! Go figure?:dunno:

Go to the labor board by law they have to pay you work that is done. Thats what i had to do when I got laid off do to my last check kept bouncing. If you did quit with the amount of laid of people you wont be any better, so my advice hold as lonk as you can. Or you can start stealing stuff and E-baying it, just kidding.

I have checked with the labor board and I have done all that I can at this point. I won't quit unless I have somewhere else to go.

Funny, I use that line all the time.
