Planning on upgrading my suspension as I get the cash to. Is it true I should stick to the same brand of suspension and not mix match? Also what's a good brand to go with? was thinking UPR or steeda. This car is not for the track at all, just want a good looking street car with exceptional handling. Right now I have a decent amount of wheel hop as I hit little pot holes/bumps.. want to get rid of that. thanks in advance for replys.

No you don't have to have matching parts but i prefer them because they were design to work with each other. You can use different manufacturers and there should be no ill affects. When your ready to buy let me know.I am a dealer for upr and i ship to all members free.thanks

if u got the deep pockets Maxuim Motersport all the way.
Im not a big fan of UPR (i dont know why, i just dont like them) so on that note, if not MM then steada.
But i agree with NNB1, keep the same company on the parts, they work togeather that way.

mostly stock, all I've put on are lowering springs and subframe connectors. Will the stock suspension be ok if I just change out bushings? or should I just upgrade everything?

since you wont be taking this to the track and severely beating on it - you dont need to go 'all out' with the suspension.
i would recommend the following:
1. tokico premium shocks and struts (blue ones) they hold up good to everyday driving and are sport tuned
2. remove the quad shocks when the above go in
3. BBK or UPR rear upper and lower control arms - other brands (summit, granatelli) dont hold up. they dont need to be adjustable - they just need the urethane bushings in them, thats all
4. maximum motorsports caster camber plates - these are the best out there, and totally worth the money.
5. energy suspension sway bar bushings and end links.
6. energy suspension motor and trans mounts
car will be SOLID after that.

One question for you tho.. you've gone against all the other posts saying to stick to the same name brand on the suspension. That sounds good, can I get a few more opinions on Gear's post.

there are combos / applications that are tried and true. for what you're doing, the above will be fine. you're not hitting the twisties, and you'r not taking it to the track. for a street / strip car, would be a different combo. for a road race car, again - different combo. i would match suspension components for a road race car, cause the components are 'tuned' to match.
another example would be on the drag strip - adjustable shocks / struts and some drag springs - but the same settings on the shocks struts for the drag strip would suck taking turns with. also, adjustable drag shocks / struts are not meant for daily driving - i dont know if they will hold up to the beating.

i do some road racing, can you gimme an idea for suspension assuming I do some racing but still like the lowered look. I know it'll prolly be a rougher ride, as it is when I get on it the back end bounces off the bump stops and breaks free, then I just fish tail.

i've never set up a car for road racing. i'll let someone chime in on that. my experience is with street / strip setups.
