What is the number on them? If they are cold plugs, they will load up on a street car....

AR 135 RACING is what it says on the plug.

That is a very cold plug...that sould be used for a 200 hp or so shot of nitrous or a lot of boost

so could that possible cause either the car to use/burn oil or not run the way it should.

bad plugs ofcourse will make it run funny but not burn oil.and i've seen oil on the plug threads of a 20,000 mile motor before, thats not always a bad thing.oil can't burn off the threads so it could be there from valve cover gasket changes/leaks or anything so i wouldn't worry if you don't notice it using oil or alot of smoking form the tail pipes

well it doesn't really use/burn alot but i do know the valve covers leak, so that would be the problem there. car does seem to run better with new plugs in it.

Heck yeah it wont run good.....I tried a set of AR plugs and couldnt get my car to run worth a crap at part throttle.....and it would defently load up bad......

For whats its worth ...I never changed them.....it was loading up real bad with the HARTMAN intake on it....would not idle would not run untill it got warm and he had to keep idle very high on it...like around 1400....he/I switched the upper intake back and it ran like when you picked it up....We both had it on our mind to change them...considering we felt like it was flooding to death.....also.....did you ever put a guage on it to check fuel pressure? Its got an adjustable regulator......?

I imagine it runs a lot better with new plugs.:yes1: What did you put back in? I'm assuming your still N/A, IMO, I wouldn't go with anything more then a 1 step colder plug at max.

If you're N/A, I'd use an Autolite 25, or a 34 if you've got boost/spray on it.

lol i wasn't blamin you for anything :thumbsup1: and the plugs is prob why it wouldn't run right with the intake on it. and no i didn't even think to check the fuel pressure but it seems to be running fine. now anyways.

I used the Autolite 25's also. You can get them at Wal-Mart cheaper than at the auto part stores.

Have you changed the pcv filter in the back of the intake.that could be the oil problem,if its stopped up.when they get saturated with oil they will pull oil up in the pcv and in to the intake.it wont smoke much ,but i will make it burn a little oil.
