Hey guys looking to mix a couple of things up this Spring to make it eaiser for clubs to get cars together. Also would like to see if you guys can help us find some more vendors willing to donate prizes? And last would like to toss the idea of a pot winner take all deal. Will keep you guys updated.

Tell us what your thinking. If my junker is still running by spring and I have a decent clutch I will be there.

Thinking doing 6 cars like we have but it can be any combination of PA and NA as long as you have both. So if you want to run 5 PA and. 1 NA or half and half or 4 and 2 as long as you have both. This way it will be easier for clubs to fill the roster up with 6 cars? Is it fair? Yes IMO because all clubs have the chance to get there fastest cars in no matter what. Thoughts?

Any combo sounds good! NC STANG GUY and I were talking today and he had a good idea I thought. He suggested we get some club members in the tower next time during the runs to collect the timeslips so we can determine the results within 30-60mins after the race is over.
i like having to have 3 of each cars. keeps a club from just bringing in a bunch of ringers, or a bunch of cars from nmra drag radial. plus gives the little guys a chance to run. but i havent made it to either event, so my opinion isnt worth a ton.

Make it a 3 PA max race.

^^^^I kinda feel the same way but my thought is we can get full roster eaiser this way? ( Nova post) I still haven't ran this idea to my guys yet so this is nothing solid yet. Do you guys want to open up the idea of one car with a dual power adder? Like boost and spray car?

09-28-2011, 09:22 PM
but to be honest, simple is better right?

IDK about yall but Im sure we could find 10 to 1 N/A car to a PA

Troy, next time I'm gonna have some one at the ticket booth at the end of the track collecting tickets. Is there any rules y'all would like to see up dated or changed before we do it again? I've been asked about the dual power adder. We didn't wanta chance the rules before this race cuz we didn't want it to look like we were changing the rules in our favor. Any input for changes will be looked into.

I agree with this
Make it a 3 PA max race.
That's the best idea. If its a 3PA max with the option to bring 6 NA cars. That way you pretty much know you'll have a full field.
But again like Andy said I haven't made either event so.....

The great thing about True Street is that 3 back to back passes is hard on a car, most ringers or race cars can't do that. My car had little to no issue doing the round robin 3 times, other than the brakes getting hot.

The 3 PA max would be good. If you only had to have 1 na car then it could get one sided really fast.

We are planning on making this one. The coupe should do a little better than last time.

Hoosier DR's?

Hoosier DR's?
Don't think they are DOT approved or are they?
EDIT: Well this is what Summit Racing says..
These Hoosier DOT drag radial tires meet the Department of Transportation requirements for marking and performance only. They feature a special compound to provide good traction, making them perfect for classes that require street-legal style tires. The DOT drag radials are not intended for street use or for use on public roads.

I know the set that Rook has say "DOT" on them, but I also know people have a fit about Hoosiers though :lol1:

Yeah seems like a bad contradiction the way Summit has it. They really are nothing but a radial slick with two grooves cut in them. I'd run them on the street if I had them though....just would be scared to get caught in the rain, lol.

I know I caught hell about my tires. Only rule was that they had to say "DOT" on them though.

well i may just run goodyears or MT's then
Silver91Hatch

Goodyears on a high power/turbo car are not a good idea. Seen many X275 and RS275 do the "fish" down the track. They wibble wobble and wonder horribly.

We will be switching over to the Duck Sauce at our Civil Wars Event. Track should be on kill like never before. I want to thank Jason @ VP for agreeing to come down and work his magic for our Event. I am pumped.
Hopefully we can get some of the new M/T 275's as well.

Who would race if we did this again? It was always hard to get enough people for this on our end and SEFB so we thought everyone just didn't care. If there's interest, we can make it happen though!

#1 is the first full hook up spot going down the track so I'll be up behind the stands just shy of the 1/8mi mark. I believe you guys usually have the scales set up further down. I'll ride the bicycle down and come visit :D
