I need a C4.

My world class tranny just went out and i am tired of 5 speeds. Just wanted to know if anybody had a C4 for sale. And if anybody has ever used a C4 will 5 speed long tube mac headers work with it.

I am tring to remember, but I am almost sure that they will clear with a small flexplate. The small flexplate will allow you to set the starter in closer to the motor.

I know where one is at if I don't buy it for my 83 I can probably get it for you. Supposed to be built by cooks and only has a few miles on it. I think I can get it for around 450.

i had a c4 in my 86 had bbk long tubes 1 5/8. i think everything fit good..

i have a nice built C4 that i'll sell. i just put it in my car and it's got 50 miles on it.my car is a race gas 347 and honestly i can't afford the gas to drive it around so i'm pulling the motor and selling it or redoing one.but anyway if you're interested let me know and i'll provide the specs to you on it.

it'll come with everthing to install it in you're car! it's got a super street fighter converter in it that is a nitrous converter.it was opened up and cleaned out the same time the tranny was built. so basicly all this is brandnew.i sold my tremec to fund it all.anyway the converter is a 3800 stall.the tranny has a reverse (manual) TCI valve body,all good alto cluches and a deep pan,it's built for 650+HP.my car makes 502 RWHP now and thats on motor,i was planning on adding NOS later on but not now LOL! it includes brandnew lines and big cooler,and a HMI plate and Hurst quarter stick shifter all for $1200

what rearend is in the car and what rpms did it run when you went down the highway.

as quick as it turns up i only kept a 3.27 gear in it. if i were to change rear end gears i'd only be hurting myself, cuz this thing has the MSD set at 7000 rpm and the chip that was burnt for the car has the same setting burnt into it also.anyway as soon as you smack it now it's all over the limiter,i really could drop to a 3.08 and be good. but right now what few miles i've driven it at about 65-70 it turns 2000-2200 rpms.and my cam in the car is a 686 lift cam and with t-speed it would jerk you're head off LOL!! and with the C4 you can still hear the cam at 2000 and 2500 rpm,but the converte won't let the car jerk anymore and that was my whole reson for going with the C4

its a 9.5" converter w/balloon plates foot braked 2300 behind a 331 and went to 4700 on the brake
