I have an 89 LX fs/ft. I bought the car a few months ago and have been slowly rebuilding it. It started out life as a 4 cyl 5spd car, but the 4 cyl is long gone. Since I bought it I have done all of the hard work that had to be done to get it converted to a 5.0. The whole car is wired with the harness from the GT, computer included. I have put a rear end out of a 99 GT with 5 lug ,94-98 axles, disk brakes, and a fresh gear in it. The front brakes consist of 95 spindles and PBR twin piston calipers. It also has a tilt wheel and the entire GT interior in it. It is all exceptionally clean for its age. There is a bunch of time that has been spent on this car by me, but i'm just needing the space in the garage. All the work has been 100% done by me, so I can answer pretty much any question you may have about it. The paint is all 100% original and the car has NEVER been hit or in a wreck. This is one great body. All it needs to run and drive is your engine and transmission. It is set up for a 5 speed. As far as trades go, I would trade for almost anything. Must run and drive, or need very little to make it run and drive. The cowl hood does not come with the car. call/text 336-909-0292 or PM me.

Last bump before it gets completed and becomes a running, driving car with a higher price tag!!! I'm getting my engine hoist back this weekend.

Oh yes, This thought has crossed my mind several times. But I just can't bring myself to go from a true 5.0 Wild Strawberry coupe to a 4 cyl basic red hatchy, even though this car is a lot better platform. I looked up the difference in the insurance from a 4cyl to a v8 car and it was only about $10 every 6 months. I thought it would be a lot more.
