Will removing the charcoal box with the vacuum lines that run to the throttle body affect anything? Throttle is hanging on my 2.3 and I think this may be the issue, already replaced everything throttle related (IAC, TPS, and Throttle body itself). The vacuum line on the bottom side of the TB is kinda crunchy and so is the box also. I figured maybe that's causing the problem?

Anyone think removing this is a bad idea?

If you remove it and keep the car in a garage the fuel smell will be stronger because your tank will be venting to atmosphere. Other than that I've never noticed any difference.

Pulled the PCV valve and it looked like it had mud in it, replaced it and the car runs perfect but still idles around 2k. Timing is perfect so that's not it. Any other ideas??

Vacuum leaks?

Sprayed everything down and it seems to be good there. I swapped the TPS for a "non-adjustable" aftermarket one and it idles normal now but sputters on take off. :thumbsdown1: This thing is driving me insane!!
