I have a 1989 F150 4x4 truck for sale. It's a project truck so it will need work. I bought it locally on Craigslist for $800 and parked it. It runs and drives, just not safe for the road. The guy I bought it from said he used it for a farm truck and the owner before him used it in mud competitions. It has a lot of clay on the under carriag to prove it. I was gonna fix it up, but I'm short on funds, so it's gotta go. Listed below is everything I know will need work on it:
-Needs a battery
-Major tune up
-body work
-alignment/balancing/front tires
-brake work ( I have new pads sitting in the cab )
-Gas, odometer, and tripometer are not working
-needs exhaust
-interior needs some attention
-needs a radio
-the origional owner lost the keys and broke the ignition, but had the door locks replaced and I have the keys. (push button starter installed)
-door mirrors are loose
-4x4 doesn't ingage. the transmission shifts fine and the transfer case is working, but one of the front axle shafts doesn't turn.
-there is a noise coming from under the shifter that sounds like a rattle. I have no idea what it is.
-the sliding rear glass needs a new latch
-the truck does smoke, but doesn't overheat or anything
-the air and heat aren't working. I put a new blower motor in, but no air coming from dash.
I think that's all. As you can see, it needs a lot of work. It can be a good work truck as it sits or used for parts. It has the 300 straight 6 with a 5spd tranny, short bed, and 32" tires with bullet hole rims. I'm selling for $800 firm. If interested, you can text or call Jimmy 843 622 6938 or pm me.
